Britney Spears gives birth to "Ultimate Accessory"

The Spears Federline family welcomed a boy into the world Wednesday, after an intensely watched pregnancy. "I'm so happy," the new mother wrote on her web diary Thursday. She pronounced the baby "SO CUTE! Just like i always dreamed about!!! He goes with everything! he's like the ultimate accessory! even better than Bit-Bit," a reference to her pet chihuahua.
Asked by reporters how she and her husband chose a name, Spears replied "Well, at first I wanted to name him Britney, you know, like Michael Jackson does with his kids, or Kevin Jr. We haven't really narrowed it down yet."
Congratulations came in from all around the globe. Spears received not one, but three calls from the First Family. Laura and Barbara Bush called to give advice to the new mother, and later President Bush offered his services as a baby-sitter.
Spears also noted on her website that she hoped the birth would reconcile the Federlines with the mother of Kevin's first two children, writing "I hope that my baby can get to know his half-brother and sister and that they too can become a part of my menagerie." The statement was later retracted after outrage from Shar Jackson and her family. Spears apologized, saying she thought "menagerie" was another word for extended family.
